In order
to redress the difficulties faced by the assesses in relation
to:-
(i) procedural/policy matters of the Central Excise law;
and,
(ii) to bring about qualitative changes in the working of the
Department. |
Two
committees have been formed:-
-
The Regional Advisory Committee
(RAC)
- The Public Grievances Redressal
Committee. (PGRC)

| The
Commissioner of the Central Excise Department is the Head of
these committees, distinguished members of the Industry &
Trade are nominated as the members of these committees and
they discuss the problems with the higher officers of the
Central Excise Department so as to solve any difficulties
faced by the Trade. |
| The
meetings of the RAC committee are held quarterly whereas the
meeting of the PGRC committee is held every month. |
| Assesses
who have any problems have to submit their problems through
the members of these committees who in turn sponsor these
points to the department for their redressal. |
