Trade Notice No.01/CE/SHG/2012

            Attention of the Trade and all concerned are hereby drawn to the Trade Notice (TECH)No. 17/2005 dated the 6^th. May 2005 wherein a Cell was created for monitoring the investments made by the beneficiaries of exemption Notification No. 69/2003-CE dated 25.08.2003, 08/2004-CE dated 21.01.2004 as amended by Notification No. 28/2004-CE dated 09.07.2004.

2. Since the creation of Guwahati Central Excise Commissionerate w.e.f.01.12.2008, carving out of the then Shillong Central Excise Commissionerate, the Monitoring Cell is required to be reconstituted to monitor the investment made in this regard.

3. Accordingly, the following officers of Central Excise Department would be the members of Monitoring Committee with immediate effect :- 

(A)  For Assam

(i)                 Additional Commissioner (Tech), Central Excise & Service Tax, Guwahati

(ii)               Superintendent, Central Excise of the concerned Range where the investment is made.

(B)   For Tripura  

(i)                 Assistant Commissioner, Central Excise Division, Agartala.

(ii)               Superintendent, Central Excise of the concerned Range where the investment is made.

              The Monitoring Committee will furnish the verification report to the Investment Appraisal Committee and also to the jurisdictional Commissioner of Central Excise, on completion of the verification process. 

The Trade Notice (TECH)No. 17/2005 dated the 6^th. May 2005 stands modified to the above extent.
