TRADE NOTICE No.01/CE/SH/2015

            Subject :   Opening of Offices on 28^th February, 2015 – Reg. 

            Attention of the members of the trade and industry and all concerned is invited to the Board’s letter F.No.296/42/2013-CX.9 dated 25.02.2015 issued by the Under Secretary to the Govt. of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Central Board of Excise & Customs, New Delhi wherein it has been mentioned that the Union Government is presenting its Annual Budget 2015-16 on 28^th February 2015, which falls on Saturday.  

            In terms of Board’s instruction all the offices of CBEC/field formations shall remain open on that day, so that the changes made in the Budget and their impact on revenue can quickly be examined and analysed by the field formation so as to guide the trade properly and to bring to the notice of the Board and any difficulties/anomalies etc. noticed in the tax proposals. 

            In view of the above instruction, it is hereby informed that the Office of the Commissioner of Central Excise & Service Tax, Shillong and all its subordinate Offices will remain open on 28^th February, 2015 as a special measure.
