Subject: Nomination of Public Grievance & Facilitation Officer –  regarding.

             Attention of Industry, Trade and all others dealing with Central Excise and Service Tax matters is drawn to the institution of public grievance office, which has been functioning under this Commissionerate with the objective to check the incidences of harassment, if any, to the assessee and also to refurbish the image through facilitation and with greater stress on transparency in administration. Accordingly, it has been decided and is for the information of all concerned that the Joint Commissioner (P & V), Central Excise, Shillong having his office at Morellow Compound, M.G. Road, Shillong, Phone No. 0364-2210124, is functioning as Public Grievance and Facilitation Officer. 

2.         Every working Monday has been earmarked by the Joint Commissioner (P & V) to receive grievances and to meet any member of the Industry, Trade and the public from 1500 hrs to 1700 hrs in his office at the address given above.
